Home Story Visuals offers photos, videos, 3D tours, floor plans with room measurements, aerial photos and video, zillow home tours, community photos, virtual staging, headshots, twilight photos and our Automatic Marketing Kit which transforms our images into social media marketing posts and post them on behalf of our agent clients during the all important first week of each listing.

Together these services are all a busy agent needs to promote themselves and their listings.

How do you price your services?

Most real estate photography companies base their pricing on the number of photos delivered. We think that’s silly.

We just want to tell the unique story of each home we capture so all our photo packages are unlimited. This gives us the ability to capture both wide shots of each space but small close ups of detail items like lighting, beams, backsplashes or anything else that makes a home unique.

What areas do you service?

Home Story Visuals has a large service area surrounding Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. This includes large areas of Western Wisconsin, Central Minnesota, and the St. Cloud area with no travel fees.

Our expanded service area provides an even larger travel radius to areas like Lake Mille Lacs, Hinckley, Danbury, Siren, River Falls, Hastings and more with a reasonable travel fee included.

What if I need to re-schedule an appointment?

Home Story Visuals understands that photography is often times the last thing that needs to happen prior to a listing going live on the MLS and that delays from other preparation projects happen.

For upcoming appointments 2 or more business days away, we allow you to reschedule the appointment without penalty, as needed, when the painters, landscapers, window washers or homeowners experience delays.

For re-schedule requests less than 24 hours in advance, we reserve the right to charge our minimum service amount as we will have no ability to fill that appointment slot.

What kind of rights do I get to the photos I order?

Under United States copyright law, the creator of an artistic work is its default owner. This ownership is established automatically the moment a photographer captures an image. These rights include the ability to reproduce, distribute, and publicly display the photographs.

Upon payment in full, you receive non-exclusive rights of usage with the specific exclusion of the rights of re-sale or re-use by any other 3rd party. These rights include any still photo, video, clip, optical data capture or media that we capture. This usage license does not expire. When we deliver photos to you, you will be required to acknowledge this usage agreement prior to gaining access to the media.

If you require exclusive rights to media we create or wish to re-sell our media, new pricing and guidelines will exist and will be contracted separately from our standard usage agreement. This type of contract is extremely rare in real estate media.

WHAT IS YOUR SATISFACTION GUARANTEE?

Home Story Visuals believes in clarity and keeping things simple. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with our work, we will first offer to fix it by re-editing or re-shooting the property.

In the event that we cannot solve the problem, we are proud to offer our Not One Dime Satisfaction Guarantee. If you aren’t satisfied with the work we do…don’t pay us! Not one dime. We want you to be a raving fan of us and our work.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR OUR PHOTOGRAPHY APPOINTMENT?

We’ve created a preparation guide that will help guide you and your homeowners toward getting your home ready for photos, video or other media.
A link to this guide is included in the confirmation email for each appointment.
It includes a checklist for things like opening all the blinds or shades, turning on all the lights in the home, removing vehicles from the driveway and other helpful tips.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY MEDIA?

Photos are delivered electronically the next business day and video in 2 business days.

Are there taxes on media?

Sales taxes are calculated according to the location in which the media is created.

In Minnesota, photos delivered electronically are not subject to sales tax but video is. Each property locations sales tax is calculated according to the Minnesota Dept of Revenue’s updated matrix of state, city, county, special assessment and various other sales taxes. Photos not delivered electronically are subject to MN sales tax.
In Wisconsin, all media creation is subject to sales tax.

ARE BULK DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE FOR MY ENTIRE REAL ESTATE TEAM?

Yes! For brokers wishing to provide a go-to single source for all their media, bulk discounts and special packages can be created based on the volume of photo shoots needed. For individual agents, discounts may also be created for high volume needs.
